Copenhagen with no spittoons

Again, my fascination with bicycle friendly places brings me back to Copenhagen. It's not about speed or stretchy bike shorts that make everyone but the thinnest people look lumpy. It's about getting somewhere economically and having that beautiful wind in your face, feel like your seven years old again, kind of feeling.

The Danish folks have got the whole 'cargo bike' thing down pat. Their cargo bikes are purposely built to carry all sorts of things. I always worry how the little rider is doing in the back of the bike trailer we use.

This one, called The Cabby, looks amazing. If you watch the video on their page, it shows how quickly it can convert from cargo to kids. The US just doesn't have an acceptance of these types of bikes yet and thusly you will be stared at if you use any type of cargo bike. I guess I like the attention of owning strange bicycles, but most do not.

And now a wonderful music video of the Copenhagen bicycle scene.
