My dreams go like this

In Paris 1976, filmed by a camera mounted on the bumper of a Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9. It is a short film made by Claude Lelouch. Excellent gear head movie. 8 minutes long.

Casting Trucks

Metal casting is something I've been tinkering with from time to time. I'm still way short of proper tools and materials. Here's a video of casting and finishing skateboard trucks. Via: Nostalgia on Wheels

NSFW - Fixie Funny

I love bikes, but the fixed scene kids make me laugh. I'm not knocking some of those with skill, just the posers.
Does anyone use that term anymore, 'posers'? Just me I guess.....

Canadian Fishermen

Damned Maple Leafers, won't turn right on a red and show up every weekend for deals at Target. What can you do though? Without them, I'd have more city taxes to pay...

At least they know how to fish.

Kick Ass

NSFW - Graphic trailer for the new movie Kick Ass. Hit Girl is my favorite character from the trailer. Definitely not safe to watch around children, old people or your mom.

Chairs with GPS installed, not as geeky as you might think

Confession number ONE for this new year:

I love found stuff.

Free things float my boat.
Some of my most prized possesions come from places where most folks only venture to dispose of their trash. One man's trash is another man's treasure kind of thing.

The video posted here shows what happens when you leave a really great piece of furniture out in the middle of New York City and then follow it home to its new owners. Only done with the best of intentions, it really struck a chord with me. I love that experience of finding a new, fun treasure.

This was found via BoingBoing and reblogged here for your enjoyment.
